Slowly warming up through the work week

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After a gloomy start to the work week, brighter skies start moving in tomorrow.

As we go through this evening, we slowly start to see the cloud control subside. The breaks in the clouds will cause another round of chilly temperatures Tuesday morning. Most areas in the Pee Dee will start off within a couple degrees of the freezing mark. The beaches will be in the middle 30s, so another need for the winter jackets.

Despite the abundant sunshine, Tuesday’s afternoon temperatures still struggle to get to the 50 degree mark. Another cool night develops Tuesday night as we go as low as the upper 30s to near 40.

Rain chances will remain slim through the week with just a brief shower or two late Thursday night.

The upcoming weekend will feature milder temperatures, but increasing chances of rain by Saturday night and Sunday as a strong cold front approaches the area. This will set us up for a drastic dip in temperatures into early next week. More on the Arctic air for early next week, click on choi baccarat mien phithis for our First Alert Weather Blog
